Family visiting

On Friday we had visitors (Uncle Wawa, Aunt Cate, Pop Pop Fred and Great Pop Pop Kovack). Pop Pop Fred fed Kai (not fast enough!), and Kai helped Uncle Wawa decide what he wanted to order for lunch.  Everyone noted how much better Daddy Keith looked and how happy he and Kai were to be together again!

Kai is obsessed with Picabu.  He freezes whenever he sees her, even if he's in the middle of eating fruit (his favorite).  He loves petting her.  Well, he actually tries to grab her hair, and has to be guided to pet her.  She doesn't usually like children, so we're glad she seems to like him so far.

Kai learned how to sit by himself this past week!  He's getting better and better at it, and it's easier for him to play with his toys now.

Kai turning 6 months

I'm a little late posting these March pictures to the blog.  The last couple of weeks have been very difficult for our family as Keith has had to have surgery and spend way too long in the hospital.  Kai has been spending a lot of time with his grandparents, and despite everything--the growing must continue!  He turned 6 months on March 27!!  He is starting to move around on his hands and knees, "talk" more, reach with his hands when he wants us to pick him up, and is getting TWO teeth on the bottom (you can see them coming out now!).  OH!  Forgot to mention that he also started sitting on his own for a couple of minutes at a time!  Big achievement!  Here are some pictures from the past month:

Savta and Saba had to take this picture this time.  He was actually 18 lbs 3 oz, and 29" long!
