Kai at 5 months!

Kai had his 5 month well visit to the pediatrician today.  He smiled at the doctor a lot, and only cried a little when he got his shot.  This picture below was the best of the bunch, believe it or not.  Maybe he's starting to rebel against them... (and take out his anger at the sign).
You put him on his back, and in a second he flips to his tummy.  Sometimes he's happy about it, and sometimes he wants help flipping back.  Most of the time, though, he spits up, and if we're lucky, his face doesn't end up in it!
Here is Kai practicing sitting (with pillow help).
Just a cute picture of our baby...
So now that Kai has reached the ripe old age of 5 months, here are some tidbits about him:
He loves it when you smile at him, and almost always smiles back.  He likes to laugh, and laughs a lot when you kiss his body (especially his armpits!).  He's a pro at turning from his back to his belly, and loves to sleep on his side.  Many times he soothes himself by rubbing his feet together (just like his Daddy!).  He started eating solid foods, and already has a sweet tooth.  He's gotten good at opening his mouth big for the spoon, and gets mad if you don't give him the next bite YESTERDAY!  He is starting to teethe and drools all the time.  The doctor said it looks like he will probably get his first tooth sometime in the next month or two.  He's not very good at napping, and has been having trouble lately sleeping for long stretches at night (might be the teeth).  He started making "Mmmma" sounds that sound like "Ima" a little, which is so sweet!
